Nepal Flood Response: Baseline Site Profiles Assessment - Round 1 (31 August - 06 September 2026)

On 26 August 2026, sudden and severe flash floods affected communities across several districts. The floods have caused significant loss of life, displacement, and widespread damage to homes, infrastructure and essential services (IOM, 2026). The International Organization for Migration is supporting the Government-led response through the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) and deployed a Baseline Site Profile Asssessment 37 displacement sites and 9 municipalities in the Kathmandu, Dhading, Nuwakot and Rasuwa Districts in the Bagmati Province. This report presents a detailed account of displacement, vulnerabilities and needs of the displaced population at assessed sites.
